Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Economics and Policy course, The programme is structured to assist in the intellectual, social and personal development of the students, preparing them for a range of specialist and generalist positions in the areas of environmental economics as well as serving as professional economists

What and how will you learn?

The programme combines courses from both Economics and environmental management. The teaching methods used in this programme include; lectures, independent reading from different sources, seminar presentations, guest lectures, and field practical training.

Entry requirements for Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Economics and Policy course

Direct entry qualifications

Two principal passes in the following subjects:

Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Advanced Mathematics, Geography, Economics, History, Commerce or Accountancy. In addition, a subsidiary pass in Advanced Mathematics /Basic Applied Mathematics or a minimum of “C” grade in Mathematics at O-Level is required

Equivalent entry qualifications

Diploma in Environmental Studies, Statistics, Mathematics, Development Studies, Community Development, Economics or Environmental Engineering with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0

Careers Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Economics

Graduates of this degree programme work as economists, environmental policy analysts, business consultants, etc. Prospective employers include research institutions, NGOs, Government and private institutions, etc.
